Our mission is to enhance the health, well-being, and quality of life in Maplewood, Missouri. There are many ways to do this! We will prioritize funding decisions based on the needs of those applying for funds, and what resources we have to give. We will use a transparent and equitable process to guide our grant-making. 

We are in our first season of fundraising and will make our first grants in the second half of 2025. The fund has nearly no overhead expenses (no staff, no office, etc...) so we will be able to donate close to 100% of what we raise. After our first fundraising cycle we hope to know more about just how much that is. 

Please do directly support local nonprofits and service providers - we don't intend the replace the need for those groups to have their own donors. Our role is to generate enthusiasm for giving among Maplewood residents and supporters to increase the funds those orgs and service providers have available to them. We expect the Fund to be especially helpful to smaller agencies that don't have bandwidth for large fundraising efforts, or individuals in need of one-time support.
